Stefan Brucato has been named by Juniorhockey.com as this weeks National Player of the Week. Brucato scored all 6 goals in a 6-5 overtime win of Western States Hockey League Championship Game. Stefan was also named to the All Tournament Team and was named Tournament MVP. "That is something he will remember the rest of his life, I couldn't be happier for him" said Pikes Peak Miner Head Coach Greg Vanover.
Stefan played for the Miners last season after having taken a few years off from hockey. "He showed up to tryouts and made the team. I could see the potential for Stefan to be a very good hockey player even though he hadn't played hockey for the previous two seasons" said Vanover. "He was just excited to be playing hockey again and playing on a high level team."
